KPM Berlin WWI Brandenburg Gate & Zeppelin Cobalt Empire Cabinet Cup
Beautiful porcelain empire form footed oversize cabinet cup and saucer. Nicely decorated in cobalt blue. With an oval scene in the center of the Brandenburg gate with a zeppelin above. With gold gilding along the top and bottom. It has a green and gilt pattern along the inside of the lip. With gold gilt highlights to the handle and feet. Marked on the bottom with the red globe over KPM and the blue scepter mark used by KPM Berlin. It also has a black iron cross used by KPM Berlin between 1914 and 1918.
You will see dozens of the KPM WWI commemorative cups with the iron cross before you'll see another one of these.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
The cup measures approximately 4 3/8 inches wide including the handle x 5 3/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 7 1/4 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
