Joe Rogan Trump Interview Ratings: Charts Show Subscriber Spike

Podcaster Joe Rogan has gained 400,000 YouTube subscribers as well as tens of thousands of other social media followers after his interview with former President Donald Trump.
On Friday, October 25, the day that Rogan interviewed Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, he gained 100,000 YouTube subscribers, on October 26, the day following the interview, he gained a further 200,000, and on October 27 he gained 100,000 more, per data from social media tracking site Social Blade.
Rogan worked as an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) commentator before launching The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, which is now the most listened to podcast in the United States, with 14.5 million Spotify followers and 17.9 million YouTube subscribers.
His three-hour long episode with Trump, where they discussed everything from wind turbines to the former president’s beliefs around the 2020 election’s results, gained him even more popularity across YouTube and social media than he had before.
As well as gaining 400,000 YouTube subscribers, Rogan gained a combined total of 28,277 followers on Instagram and 75,242 followers on X, formerly Twitter, between Friday and Sunday, according to Social Blade.
Rogan’s Instagram saw its highest rise in followers two days after the interview, where Rogan gained 14,457 followers in one day. His X account saw its highest rise in followers on the day following the interview, with him gaining 37,558 followers that day.
Rogan is a popular figure on X, with a total of 13.1 million followers on the social media platform. His most listened to Joe Rogan Experience episode is his 2018 interview with Elon Musk, billionaire inventor and current Trump surrogate, which has 68 million views on YouTube.
During his interview with Trump on Friday, the podcaster pressed him on his views on the 2020 election, “I wanna talk about 2020 because you said over-and-over again that you were robbed in 2020. How do you think you were robbed?”
To which Trump responded: “They were supposed to get legislative approval to do the things they did and they didn’t get it. In many cases, they didn’t get it,” and that he would bring in papers that “you would not believe.”
However, when Rogan pressed more about what Trump was referring to, specifically, asking “Are you going to present this ever?” Trump replied: “Uh.”
Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee, was also invited onto The Joe Rogan Experience, but her campaign confirmed that she will not be interviewed on the show before Election Day.
Rogan has the most listened to podcast in the U.S., but Harris went on the second most listened to podcast on Spotify, and fourth most listened to podcast in the country, Call Her Daddy earlier this month where she discussed reproductive rights and her plans for young people.
Although Call Her Daddy host, Alex Cooper, initially saw a slump in her social media following after the interview, she has now gained back more followers than she lost.
Rogan’s three-hour long episode with the former president was viewed over 26 million times on YouTube within the first 24 hours of being released.
Neither Apple nor Spotify release listenership data for individual episodes, but Trump’s episode was clearly very popular as it currently has 33,508,180 views on YouTube as of early Monday morning.
At over 33 million views, Trump’s episode is now the seventh most popular episode of Rogan’s podcast, per data from fan website JRE Library. It is now neck-and-neck in terms of views with Rogan’s interview with Sandy Hook conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
